How myfxpips works
A plain-English guide · Last updated: 13 October 2026
You follow a Telegram signal channel. It says it wins most of the time. myfxpips checks that claim for you: it takes every signal the channel posted and replays it on real market prices, so you can see what would actually have happened, losses included.
The short version
- Connect your own Telegram account.
- Pick the signal channels you want to check.
- Read the real result of every signal, worked out from real prices, not from the channel's own posts.
Why a channel's own results can't be trusted
Most channels report their results themselves. Nobody checks them. Three common tricks make a channel look better than it is:
- The late win post. "TP hit, +80 pips!" is posted for the winners. The losers get no post at all.
- The silent loss. A trade hits its stop loss and the channel simply moves on to the next signal.
- The signal with no stop loss. Without a stop, a losing trade can be called "still running" for weeks, so it never counts as a loss.
myfxpips ignores the channel's claims and looks only at the signals themselves and the prices that followed.
The three steps
-
Connect your Telegram
You sign in with your own Telegram account. Most paid VIP channels are private, and a bot can't join them. Only your own account can read them, which is why we ask you to sign in.
Your session is stored encrypted and is only used to read channels you already belong to.
-
Pick your channels
Choose the signal channels you want to check, public or private. We read their history once and learn how each channel writes its signals, for example "XAUUSD buy 2650, SL 2646, TP 2658".
-
Read the real numbers
Every signal is tested on real historical prices. You see the result, how much to trust it, and every trade behind it, including the signals we couldn't test.
What "testing a signal" means
Take one signal. We check what the market actually did after it was posted, minute by minute, and see which came first: the stop loss or the target.
Stop loss 2646 · Target 2658
Example for illustration only.
A few rules keep the test honest:
- You get the real market price after the signal was posted, not the price the channel quoted.
- The spread (the broker's built-in cost) and a small amount of slippage are included.
- If the stop and the target are both hit within the same minute, we count the stop. When in doubt, we count against the channel, not for it.
The full rule book is on our methodology page.
What you see in the results
- The simple view: the result in pips, the number of tested trades and the last 30 days, at a glance.
- A reliability score: how many of the channel's signals we could read and test on real prices. A result from 140 tested signals means more than a result from 6.
- The detailed view: outcomes, buy versus sell, order types, months and currency pairs.
- The untestable list: signals we couldn't test, with the reason, such as no clear entry, no stop loss, or a signal posted only as an image. Nothing is hidden or quietly dropped.
Some results use R, short for "risk". 1R is the amount you risk on one trade. A trade that makes twice its risk is +2R, and a trade that hits its stop is −1R. This lets you compare channels fairly, whatever your account size.
Is it safe to connect Telegram?
- What we read: the signal messages in the channels you pick. Once we have read a message we keep it, so if the channel deletes it later, the loss doesn't disappear.
- What we don't do: we don't read your private chats or any channel you didn't pick, and we never send messages as you.
- How to cut access: in Telegram, open Settings, then Devices, and end the session for this app. Our access stops straight away.
We can't see messages a channel deleted before you connected, because Telegram removes them for everyone.
What it costs
Start with a $5 trial for 5 days: up to 5 channels, the last 30 days of history, with results, the trade list and the untestable list. After 5 days it renews at $39.99 per month until you cancel.
Pro (price at launch) adds the full channel history, more channels, your own rules and a trading journal.
What myfxpips is not
myfxpips measures what a channel's signals did in the past. It does not tell you what to trade, and past results do not predict future results. Test results can differ from a real broker account, because commission and swap are not included and broker prices vary slightly. See our risk disclosure.
